Automotive Aluminium Die Casting Components

Automotive programmes need weight reduction, dimensional consistency over long production runs, and delivery that keeps an assembly line moving. Our Chennai plant sits on the Oragadam–Sriperumbudur automotive corridor.

Why automotive parts are die cast in aluminium

Aluminium is roughly one-third the density of steel or cast iron, so a die cast aluminium housing or bracket can take significant mass out of a vehicle while keeping stiffness through ribbed design. Die casting produces those ribs, bosses and mounting points in one shot, replacing multi-piece fabrications.

For high-volume vehicle programmes the short HPDC cycle time and the long life of a well-maintained steel die keep piece cost predictable over the life of the model.

Applications

Typical automotive components we die cast

  • Transmission and gearbox housings

Thin-walled housings with machined bearing bores and sealing faces.

  • Engine and powertrain mounts

Structural brackets designed for cyclic loading.

  • Steering and chassis brackets

Ribbed brackets with cast-in mounting bosses.

  • Covers and end-shields

    Pressure-tight covers with O-ring grooves.

  • Oil pump housings

Cast and machined to bore and flatness tolerances.

Quality requirements

What automotive customers require — and how we respond

PPAP-style approval
First-off samples are submitted with dimensional reports. [INSERT PPAP LEVELS SUPPORTED].
Dimensional consistency
In-process gauging and periodic CMM audits on critical features.
Porosity control
Degassed melt, controlled shot profiles and inspection of critical sections.
Line-side delivery
Parts can be supplied Direct On Line (DOL), inspected and packed for immediate use.

FAQ
