Motor housings and stator frames
With integrated cooling jackets and machined bores.
Industry · Electric Vehicles
Electric drivetrains move the challenge from combustion heat to electrical heat and weight. Aluminium die castings carry that heat away while keeping housings light and rigid.
Motor and inverter housings must conduct heat away from windings and power electronics. Die cast aluminium alloys combine good thermal conductivity with the ability to cast integral cooling channels and fins, so one casting acts as housing, mount and heat sink.
Every kilogram saved extends range, which is why EV makers replace steel and multi-part assemblies with thin-walled aluminium castings. Battery and electronics enclosures also need sealing faces that stay flat and leak-tight.

FAQ
AlSi10Mg is often chosen for better ductility and thermal conductivity; A380 and ADC12 are used where castability is the priority. We recommend a grade from your requirements.
Simple cooling jackets can be cast using cores and slides in the die; complex internal channels may need a different design. Send the model for a feasibility review.
